The DeWalt 20V MAX XR™ 1/4” Brushless 3 Speed Impact Driver Drill is built for controlled impact screwdriving and to be super compact for driving fasteners into wood, metal and concrete in the tightest of spaces. Precision drive mode slows the drill down when the screw head is getting close to being flush with the work surface, allowing for precision and control when driving the screw in flush.

Motor

20V MAX XR™ Extreme Runtime tools are built with a brushless motor making them cooler running, while giving them double the runtime of brushed motors, PLUS, they are up to 38% lighter and 57% faster than other 18V li-ion tools, making these tools better for operator health and all day use.

Build

Drill has a variable speed trigger built-in to help the operator keep control of the drill, and to make it easier to start drilling without the bit slipping or the tool twisting. Equipped with a break, the drill will stop rotating when the trigger is released, and also has a forward, reverse and lock control button for extra safety.

3 lights power on when you start the drill that allow you to be able to see where you’re drilling without any shadows, making it easier to drill in any lighting situation. The lights will power off 20 seconds after the drill has stopped, saving battery power.

Use ¼” hex accessories with this impact driver drill. Will accept 1” long hex bits, allowing the tool to be as compact as possible for those crammed work spaces.

Has three modes that allow you to control the torque of the tool where the trigger adjusts the speed. Mode 1 is Precision Drive which slows down the drill once the screw head reaches the work piece, then it will go into a slow controlled drive to make sure the head is totally flush with the work surface, leaving a perfect unmarred finish at 0-1,000 RPM. Mode 2 is Normal Impacting at 0-2,800 RPM, and Mode 3 is High Speed Impacting at 0-3,250 RPM.
